At Montecatini, we know that seeking treatment can be a difficult and nerve-racking experience, which is why we have designed our admissions process to be as comfortable and unintimidating as possible. We are here to offer unwavering support and encouragement as you take this life-changing step.
Steps to Admission
Coming to terms with the fact that you need help to address the symptoms of an eating disorder takes courage. And when you make the decision to take the first important step by choosing to get treatment, you should be celebrated for your bravery.
To start the admissions process, you can call us directly. A member of our intake staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to take your call. The admissions process typically includes the following steps:
- Call us directly to speak with an admissions specialist. The specialist will be able to answer questions you have about our programs, and they can also help with verifying insurance benefits.
- Complete a thorough phone assessment that will help us determine the level of care that will best meet your needs. The assessment typically takes 30-40 minutes, and we will ask you questions about yourself, the symptoms you’re experiencing, any history of treatment, and your treatment goals.
- After the phone assessment, we will send you the preadmission medical requirements for you to complete and return.
- Once the medical requirements are received and you are medically cleared, we will schedule a date for admission, review the financial agreement, confirm transportation, and go over expectations.
If you are unable to call, you can also take the first step by filling out our online contact form and a member of our staff will contact you.
Please note that by leaving your contact information on that form, you consent to allow Montecatini to use that information to contact you. Any information provided will remain confidential. Please note that by choosing not to leave your information, the staff at Montecatini will not be able to contact you.
Intake Application
After speaking to one of our admissions specialists, you will be asked to fill out our intake application and return it to us by email or fax. The team member you speak with will be able to help you with this process.
Once you return the application to us, we will determine whether Montecatini will be able to meet your needs. If it is decided that we are the best choice for you, we will make a recommendation for a level of care, which could be residential treatment, partial hospitalization programming (PHP), or intensive outpatient programming (IOP).
If you agree, we will ask that medical information, labs, and an EKG be sent to our medical team. Once our medical team clears you for admission, our intake coordinator will contact you to schedule your admission date.
Throughout the entire admissions process, we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have, and we welcome you to meet with our treatment staff or schedule a tour of our treatment center so that you can feel confident that you are making the best decision for your personal healing process.
